Dear Hope,

On the note of discovering lesser known pearls and minutiae of certain songs by the artists one loves…my dear: your «forensic» musical analysis is precisely the kind I adore: the micro in the macro. When certain «bits,» some lasting mere seconds, have the unique ability to make us break out in goose-bumps!

And so it is you have hit the nail on the head, here. For starters, you enriched my knowledge of the Queen’s stellar career, (even if somewhat «Davised» at a certain point!)

Your «bit» choices are fascinating, and I can feel with nerves and skin alike what you feel in each one of them. Also, your knowledge on the production/backstage aspect of song choice, performing/recording moments is fascinating to read.

Am definetly going to watch the «Amazing Grace» documentary, and didn’t even know of it. I love music documentaries ao, again: I thank thee!

To share a moment, one of the last concerts I wept my dainty little heart out at, simply because the artist is who she is, was at Patti Smith’s 40th anniversary gig of «Horses» in Lisbon, where I live. Just the moment she walked on stage, I cried. And by the end of the concert I was a sweaty, dancing, slobbering, snotty mess! Lol.

Thank you, Hope, from the heart. You are the Agatha Christie of Artists’ Greatest Bits, you sleuth, you! :))))

Love & waves of octaves,

P.
