I just submitted two drafts of the same sort to The Riff publication, but these new ones are actual spoken word/songs I improvised with some musician friends around two different poems, I’m just mixing the tracks, and typing up the poems, so between today and tomorrow they should be out!

I’m thinking, since very people read/score their own texts here on medium, and I have a good narration and decent singing voice, I’m putting those skills as part of my strategy to carve out a niche for myself that is unique to me.

see, I’m in Medium for the pleasure of the creative process primarily, but I also aim to make it pay my bills, while growing a community of fascinating, intelligent humans around my writing, and when I have enough platform (i.e. subscribers, which I will take outside medium via email newsletters), then I will write a memoir and few novels which I have in the works, and either start looking for agents or self-publish…

It took me my whole life to gather the guts to invest in my writing full time, I don’t want to do anything else for money apart from this, so I’m working super hard! (Though must admit, keeping in touch with everyone / writing as well as reading and commenting other people’s work is overwhelming at times, but it’s giving me so much positive energy and idea after idea that I’m slightly hooked, regardless.)
