Lucarus, thank you so much for your beautiful words. Because of them, I will share a rare gift with you. I have not shared it publicly before (apart from family and close friends), but your kind appreciation makes this wholly legitimate. Just uploaded it now for you.

I read the poem at my father’s wake, set to some beautiful music by “hissquiet,” a wonderful ambient band I befriended who allowed me to gracefully use two of their tracks. You can also listen to their two tracks on Soundcloud: “November” and “Lazy Eye” (as the sound quality of my mix is lo-fi and rather amateur.) After you hear this, go discover their sounds: they are otherworldly bliss.

The wave sounds you hear were recorded on Christmas day at dawn, when I took some of my father’s ashes to cast them out to sea, that he may swim in eternity.

I hope you enjoy this little, heartfelt gift. Know that you have brought it out into daylight. Thank you, Lucarus :)
